At Magnified Giving, our Youth Philanthropy Program is in full swing for the 2023-2024 academic year. With over 130 participating programs, we're excited to empower and inspire a new generation of philanthropists. Our program engages students in hands-on philanthropic experiences, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and passion to research, advocate for, and grant money to local nonprofits. This unique journey instills core values like empathy, empowerment, and the spirit of giving back. But to better understand the impact of our program, let's take a moment to reflect on the experience of one of our past participants.

Megan Linnemann, a participant in the Magnified giving Youth Philanthropy Program at Seton High School.

Megan Linnemann, a student from Seton High School, embarked on her journey with Magnified Giving in the previous academic year. As Vice President of Seton Helping Saints, the extracurricular club that participates in the Magnified Giving process, Megan gained meaningful leadership experience. Megan sums up her experience perfectly: "I am grateful for Magnified Giving’s ability to teach me to be the person I want to be, a woman who stands up for those around her, never settles for injustice, and serves others from the kindness of her heart, not out of obligation."

Our Director of Programs, Alison Kaufman, emphasizes the importance of such stories in our program: "Megan's experience reflects the values we instill in all of our youth participants: empathy, empowerment, and the spirit of giving back. Megan is just one of many inspiring young philanthropists who have experienced the life-changing impact of hands-on philanthropy education."

The 2023-2024 academic year holds immense promise for our Youth Philanthropy Program. As we continue to educate, empower, and inspire the youth, we're excited to see many more stories like Megan's, as over 5,000 youth participants become the compassionate change-makers of tomorrow. Through the knowledge and values gained in our program, we are equipping them to make a lasting impact on the world. Stay tuned for more incredible impact stories that will emerge from this year's program, showcasing the journey our students are on.
