Magnified Giving CEO Kelly Collison to Retire After 11 Years of Transformational Leadership
April 2, 2026
Magnified Giving Chief Executive Officer Kelly Collison has announced she will retire effective July 31, 2026, concluding 11 years of dedicated leadership as the organization’s first-ever Executive Director and CEO.
When Collison joined Magnified Giving in 2015, the organization was in its early stages, with a two person team that included a part-time program director and a founder serving in a volunteer capacity. Over the past decade, she has helped shape Magnified Giving into a leading force in youth philanthropy, expanding both its reach and its depth of impact. Today, the organization operates more than 170 programs annually, up from 55 at the beginning of Collison’s tenure, engaging young people in meaningful service-learning experiences and facilitating nearly $220,000 in youth-directed grants each year. In 2025, Magnified Giving surpassed a major milestone of more than $2 million granted to local nonprofits through the hands of youth with Collison leading the organization's growth.
Under Collison’s leadership, Magnified Giving has educated more than 55,000 young people in philanthropy while growing its team to seven full-time and four part-time staff members. In 2017, she spearheaded the development of Camp Give, a service-focused summer camp that has since become a beloved tradition for local youth and a central pillar of the organization’s programming. Known for cultivating a culture rooted in empathy, Collison has empowered her team to lead with their strengths while fostering meaningful collaboration across the community, positioning Magnified Giving as a trusted and valued partner.

A defining achievement of her tenure was the successful completion of Magnified Giving’s first comprehensive campaign, It’s Up to YOUth, which raised $7.3 million culminating in December 2025. The campaign secured critical resources to expand programming, strengthen long-term sustainability, and increase the organization’s capacity to serve young people more deeply and in new communities.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to build Magnified Giving and Camp Give alongside an extraordinary team and generous community of students, educators, donors, parents, and partners,” Collison said. “Our founder Roger Grein is a true inspiration. What fills me with the greatest pride is not just how far we’ve come, but the lasting foundation we’ve created for future generations to lead with generosity, purpose, and impact.”
The Magnified Giving Board of Directors has named Vice President of Programs Alison Kaufman as Collison’s successor. Kaufman has played a key role in developing and strengthening the organization’s programs and will continue building on the strong foundation established under Collison’s leadership.
This leadership transition reflects Magnified Giving’s commitment to continuity and growth. We move forward with deep gratitude for Kelly’s leadership and the confidence in the strong foundation she has built. The organization remains well-positioned to expand its impact and empower even more young people to lead with empathy and purpose in their communities while helping secure the future of philanthropy.
